Meet the Person Behind the Compass

Who I Am & Why I Do This

Hi, I’m Tiffany.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker, parent advocate, business owner, and—most importantly—a mom who knows what it feels like to realize that the traditional path isn’t always going to give your child what they need.

I’ve spent more than two decades working with children, adults, and families in mental health. I’ve built programs, worked alongside other professionals, and helped families navigate complicated systems. But some of my most important lessons haven’t come from my professional training. They’ve come from being a parent.

I know what it’s like to sit across from professionals looking for answers. To research late at night because something still doesn’t make sense. To navigate diagnoses, therapies, schools, accommodations, and treatment options while also trying to remember that underneath all of those decisions is simply your child.

I also know what it’s like when the standard options don’t quite fit.

That’s why I created Resilient Minds Compass.

I wanted to build the resource I kept wishing existed—somewhere parents could find practical information, thoughtful guidance, and real-world tools without judgment or the expectation that there is one “right” way to raise, educate, or advocate for a child.

I believe parents deserve to understand their options. I believe children deserve to be seen for who they are, not simply measured by how well they fit into systems that weren’t designed for them. And I believe families sometimes need permission to step outside the expected path and create something that works better.

You don’t need someone else to take over the wheel.

Sometimes you just need a compass.
